John Doherty talks with citizens who have come to protest the actions of the Federal Government and the decisions of unelected advisors. People are concerned about book bans, demands to erase the words “diversity”, “equality”, and “inclusion” from government and educational institutions; they are concerned that we are offending our allies, removing environmental protections, limiting reproductive rights, assisting in genocide, abandoning Ukraine, cutting Medicaid, and Social Security, as well as promoting junk science and discouraging vaccinations. People also talked about losing FAA workers, postal workers, FEMA, USAID, the VA, and many other government departments that do great work. However, they are most concerned about the threat to our democracy and the beginning of fascism in the USA.
