New Show “Coming From Left Field”

February 3, 2025 by Malakay Betor

We are excited to present a new show, Coming From Left Field, with conversations about politics, books, and current events with Greg Godels and Pat Cummings. Greg comes from the communist-socialist labor union movements of the post-new Deal Midwest. Now retired from the wine import industry, he devotes much of his time as a prominent Marxist-Leninist writer and blogger. Pat’s political sensibilities began in the Vietnam anti-war movement and have continued a mainstream left lean to the present. He is now a retired public school administrator, where he specialized in research and evaluation.

This week, in honor of Black History Month, they interviewed Aran Shetterly about his book Morningside, an unflinching look at the all but forgotten though no less shocking 1979 racial tragedy that divided Greensboro, N.C., and the nation and the grassroots activists who, in their tireless fight for justice, refused to give up on America’s promised ideals.

Airing at 6 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and 4 PM on Saturday.
