Pam Beal speaks with Burl Battersby regarding the release of Voices of Tacoma: A Gathering of Poets. Voices of Tacoma: A Gathering of Poets is an anthology of poetry of, about, or inspired by Tacoma, Washington. Partly funded by the Tacoma Artists Initiative Program, Voices of Tacoma includes the work of over eighty poets from all across the City and beyond. Focused on giving voice to the diversity of our community, the anthology includes poets of all ages and from all walks of life. Including the work of former Tacoma Poet Laureates, school teachers, well-known poets, first-time-published poets, and illustrated by the artwork of Tacoma artist Mauricio Robalino, Voices of Tacoma gives a snapshot of the Pacific Northwest culture in all its beauty and grit.
