“The Peacemaker,” by Gardner Dozois, , was first published in Asimov’s Science Fiction in 1983. The climate disaster short story would go on to win the Hugo Award and be nominated for a Nebula Award the following year. In this special episode of “On the Record,” host Lukas Barfield brings the story to life with an interview with Dr. Heather Price, a climate scientist from North Seattle College, prior to the reading of the climate thriller. The story was adapted for radio and narrated by Nakanee Monique. The original music score was produced by the Fantastic Flying Folshes.
