Global Climate Strike Sept. 20, 2019

This Global Climate Strike mobilization is a joint response by a broad coalition of groups, NGOs, unions and social movements across the world to young people’s call to action for September 20, 2019.

Our local strike will begin at People’s Park, 1100 S 9th St, Tacoma, with a Rally at 2pm. At 4 pm we will march to City Hall to demand that the City of Tacoma declare a climate emergency. We will then meet with a march of the Protectors of the Salish Sea, who are walking from the LNG site to Olympia. There will then be a Climate Emergency Rally on Sept 24th.
