We had a great turnout for the Counter-Inaugural Bawl Ball. Lots of conversations, connections and DANCING!! The Derivatives is a great band and Smokey Wonder spun some great tunes for us. I loved hearing “Bad Moon Rising”. It seems so appropriate for us right now. The highlight of the evening was the band playing “This Land is Your Land”. We all joined hands and snaked around the room, singing along and kicking up our heels. This song should be our anthem!
Now, we need to follow up on connecting with others. There is a lot of energy now, especially after the success of the Women’ Marches that took place in hundreds of cities. Let’s carry that momentum forward. What is important for you? Take that and run with it. Find a group. Talk to your neighbors. Start conversations. Learn to podcast for Radio Tacoma.
